In celebration of the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the Catalina Island Museum will erect an ofrenda in its lobby decorated with traditional paper cuttings, sugar skulls and marigold flowers. To honor deceased family members, the Avalon community and its visitors are encouraged to contribute images, mementos, favorite foods and beverages of family members and friends to be placed on the ofrenda.
